Minnie the Dog needs a home
Hello, my name is Minnie. I can’t tell you much about my past other than I was rescued out of a shelter in South Carolina where I had given birth to 6 pups (sadly 3 died), but I can tell you a little bit about the presence . I’m living with my remaining 3 pups in a foster home where I’m slowly learning how to be dog. I mean, at first, I wouldn’t even go up or down the deck stairs, and when first put on a leash, I would just lay down and freeze in fear. But now I’m slowly learning the routines of my fosters and what they want me to do when and I willingly follow on a leash and go up and down the stairs in the yard. I love running in the yard and can have the energy of a puppy! I don’t think I’ve been part of a family or a pack until now, so I still have to learn how to properly behave. With humans, I’m mostly submissive bordering terrified. But I do enjoy cuddles. With other dogs, I get so excited to be around them that I run and jump around them and I guess that can be a little intimidating. So, I do best if the other dogs in my pack are low energy and not as hyper as I can be or okay with a playful sibling. I just don’t know my own size and strength. If you show me some patience and are willing to teach me some rules, then I promise I’ll be your cuddle bug and love you forever.
